A rhyming grumble

If summer weather stays late, we’re glad.
November in October, sad.
Dark noon, low clouds, wet feet, cold ears –
Enough! We need some tropics here.

It’s been a miserable day. Cough.

  1. Yes, as long as the tropics are dry!

  2. Awwww…poor you. We have had some lovely weather, though really changeable. October is like that here…one minute blue skies and balmy breezes, then bam…gales and rain and thunderstorms. Looking confusing here at the moment…grey sky, then blue sky.

    • Let’s see, I think October for you would be more or less equivalent to April for us? And April’s a changeable month here, much warmer than March but wet as often as not.

As for October, here it ought to be sunny (well, barring hurricanes, and most years we escape them) and cool but not cold. November is usually just nasty – not cold enough yet for snow, but gray and rainy and chilly and raw.

Oh well. Today the sun came back out. Much better.

  3. yes it is kinda like that here too. Plenty to read 🙂
