I took these pictures a little over ten years ago in Canterbury, England. The salvaged wooden sculptures seemed to be meant to gradually return to the earth, so they may be long gone by this time…

It’s fun to learn somethingabout England from someone in America! I’ve never been to Canterbury!
It’s an interesting town to wander around in, and we found it very easy to get there by train from London (and back the same day). 🙂
These old sculptures seem to last and last. There is a wooded area not far from me and when the trees need pruning back or nature takes it course and one falls over, they turn it into some kind of sculpture. Although it’s been a while since i last went i do remember a totem pole and fox and an owl and seats cut into the bigger trunks. Waste not want not!
That’s nice to know – maybe these sculptures are still there after all!
