This week’s picture for Sandra Conner’s Thursday’s Windows series –
A rock formation near Mount Rushmore in South Dakota – actually, I think it’s officially called the “needle’s eye”, but it’s a window of sorts!
Nature’s wonderful window!
I love strange rock formations like this 🙂
Wind-cut, or ancient water, do you think?
I don’t know for sure, but it’s fairly high up on a mountain – based on location, I suspect wind-cut.
it’s wonderful whatever it is Sharon
It – it’s a great big rock! Yeah, that’s it.
nature’s changes 🙂
Aren’t they amazing?
I can see it being a needles eye.
You’re right – it looks more like a needle than a window 😉
Perhaps you could spin a ‘word yarn’ to go thro that needle eye Sharon! Imagine 😉
😀 I think it would have to be a pretty tough “yarn” to survive though – the rock is pretty abrasive 😉
