Another Philadelphia Mural

As you approach the Benjamin Franklin Bridge from Philadelphia to New Jersey, you pass a mural of Philadelphia in the early nineteenth century.

The mural covers the eastern side of an underpass and continues around the corner up the base of the bridge. (Farther to the right, it gradually becomes less detailed and ends as an abstract pattern of rectangles.)

When you see it in person, your eye adjusts to the different levels of brightness – below the underpass, and in full sunlight. My camera isn’t up to the job, so here’s the main image, brightened.

And a closeup of the extreme left of the mural.
