And this is what’s left of the great library at Ephesus in Turkey.
It must have been amazing in its day – what’s left is still enormous.
And then there was the Roman army.
(Actually, I think these fellows had just finished filming a TV commercial when we saw them.)
Wasn’t it an mazing place? The Roman soldiers were there when I went as well as some dancing girls 🙂
I guess we arrived too late! Yes, amazing (and big) remains of the town. It was pretty full of tourists when we saw it, but I’m sure it was a lot more crowded when it was inhabited! 🙂

It was a fascinating place (though amazingly hot, and we were there in early June, that is, only the beginning of summer), and I don’t suppose I’ll ever see it again.
